Danny O’Donoghue is officially married to his long-term girlfriend Anais Niang.
The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony on Thursday after first meeting during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re over the moon to be married and now we take the first steps on the journey of the rest of our lives together!” the couple told Daily Mail.
The couple first went public with their romance at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2021.
At the time, Danny revealed that Anais had already received the seal of approval from his mother.
“We actually live in the same part of London, and up until now we’ve mainly just been hanging out at home. My mum loved her, and they offered her lots of tea.”
The British singer proposed to Anais last August in Norway, calling the destination his “favourite place on earth.”
Speaking to The Sun around that time, he also spilled the details of the proposal.
“We hiked up to the top of a mountain to face the most beautiful waterfall in the world, The Seven Sisters. It’s our favourite place on earth.”
“I nearly passed out from exhaustion carrying up all the champagne, glasses, and food for if she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing.”
